

ASIC report shows urgent need for mandatory service standards as death benefits handling times improve only 3%
10 June 2026 ASIC’s follow-up review into superannuation death benefit claims handling shows only a 3% whole of industry improvement in the number of claims that took 6 months or less to process (ASIC REP 831).
